I wonder why this is even controversial. Driving (and owning) a car in these inner-city areas is just painful and there really is only rarely a need for one. In addition quality of life would be so much better in inner-city areas converted to be car free.

heh, a lot of things that should be completely uncontroversial are controversial unfortunately 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
