Donald Trump has been rushed off stage after multiple shots were heard at a rally in Pennsylvania, where the former president was speaking.

Images showed blood on Mr Trump's face and ear and snipers on the roof near the stage where Mr Trump was standing.

A statement from the Trump campaign [...] "He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.

The post has video of the event and immediate aftermath (minimal blood/gore etc)

As of about 9:50 Melbourne time, Reuters and AP are both independently reporting two deaths: a "shooter" and an audience member / rally attendee.

Be skeptical of updates from unvetted sources like social media. Reuters and AP have more if you want something faster than local news.

I have to go life now so there'll be no more timely edits with new information unless it's so insane that someone barges in to tell me about it.

There's a certain irony that Trump has become a victim of the political violence that he himself has stirred up.

While political violence is unacceptable, I can't help but think there's a bit of karma here.

While political violins is unacceptable

I would stop thinking that way, or you're just asking yourself to be tread on by fascists. You think these fuckers would stop at any length, after they made this much progress? They'll be forming militias and organizing with police while redditors and .world sit on their asses talking about voOOoting and condemning any efforts at actual change, because they don't work within the confines liberal pacifist morality. Democracy is over (if it was ever alive in the first place), even in the off-chance Genocide Joe's rotting corpse wins the next election the supreme court will just decide it was illegitimate, if not sooner.

Ok well that was a bit of a detour but it's naive to think that even if people took up arms those who eventually step into power would somehow be benevolent. You only have to look at the history of Russia, Germany and many South East Asian countries as an example.
