Donald Trump has been rushed off stage after multiple shots were heard at a rally in Pennsylvania, where the former president was speaking.

Images showed blood on Mr Trump's face and ear and snipers on the roof near the stage where Mr Trump was standing.

A statement from the Trump campaign [...] "He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.

The post has video of the event and immediate aftermath (minimal blood/gore etc)

As of about 9:50 Melbourne time, Reuters and AP are both independently reporting two deaths: a "shooter" and an audience member / rally attendee.

Be skeptical of updates from unvetted sources like social media. Reuters and AP have more if you want something faster than local news.

I have to go life now so there'll be no more timely edits with new information unless it's so insane that someone barges in to tell me about it.

There's something a bit NQR about this, can't quite put my finger on it. Shooter pops 7 shots into a crowd and doesn't injure anyone else? Maybe I'm a cynic, but Mr Bone Spurs acts a little too cooly for someone who just got shot. And that fist shaking defiant pose? What secret service/security people would pause to let him do that?Looks more staged than a Christmas special lol.

Edit: apparently a rally attendee was killed. Not the right one, unfortunately.

It's a developing story, but at least two are dead - the shooter and an attendee.

Honestly the same thoughts crossed my mind, apart from the injuries to the crowd.

Edit: apparently the shooter was a registered Republican voter. Interesting.

Right, and the Musk announcing afterward that he's voting for him, this was 100% a staged assassination attempt. Five bucks he blames Biden of trying to have him killed because "he thinks he can get away with it" after the recent SC ruling.
