I think that perspective is too generous. When was the last period of competent, consistent driving from him? Also, he's been driving poorly from before the contract extension hence everyone's shock that he got resigned.

While obviously the marketing value is high to Red Bull, they make a lot of money from winning the constructors, if he's threatening that, I wonder what the sums look like when they net them out.

Get fresh blood in not someone to just warm the seat.
