Yup, a lot of people are single issue voters. If you solve their single issue, they may switch parties to whatever is next most important.

In this case, that's immigration. I guess if you are reasonably comfortable with how things are, immigration just seems like a risk to your way of life. So I get it. I disagree (I want more immigration), but I understand it.
