Guys I am a diehard DS fan and just ordered a super inexpensive clip on shell case for my 2DS XL and just wanted to share. If there are any Zelda fans out there looking to dress up and protect their 2DS XL, then you gotta check this one out. It's being sold by numerous vendors at various prices so I suspect it all comes from the same manufacturer. It looks amazing in person, and is actually textured just like the TOTK OLED Switch.

I got mine on eBay but you can probably find it somewhere else. A lot of the aftermarket clip ons are just a bit too gaudy for me, but I took a chance on this one and am glad I did!

Edit: the grip is an aftermarket product as well. Ads a kick stand. Got it cheap on Amazon. Highly recommended, but it doesn't come with the Zelda shell.

I absolutely agree with you about it's place in gaming history. The wobbly screen definitely takes some getting used to. I'm not exactly sure why they decided to design it that way. I know the DS Lite models were prone to hinge cracking so maybe they left the slack in them to reduce that issue? Either way I sympathize with ya!

I'll need to crack it open and look at it, but from what I've seen I may be able to slot some rubber gaskets into the hinge to hold tension. It will feel more like modern laptop screens that way.
