The "Curry" in "Currying" is a reference to logician Haskell Curry

lol i always thought it was an interface courier.

I heard people say couriering.

For those of us inclined to fish nets... Tim Curry is also a fair reference.

But yes - Haskell Curry has leant his name to Haskell and Currying.

I tried that currying once... Now all my Algorithms are in the one place that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism

Funny thing is that when the creators of the language told H.C.'s widow about it, she said he never really was fond of his name.
