Reddit changed their minds, do a half step back - RIF can access Reddit but doesn't accept login (lemmy.world)

Seems that someone at Reddit decided to grant read access to RIF, this morning I opened the app just for kicks and it wouldn't load anything. Well I tried again after lunch (Europe CET time) and it could access the front page but I was logged out. Trying to login shows a different logon page and even with valid credentials gives out a 'Bad request' response.

That means they are not just feeling the heat, they are probably burning really bad.

I'm still on both, on Reddit using a revanced modded copy of Sync for Reddit and I will use Sync for Lemmy when it launches. But I'm spending more time on Lemmy because it feels better here and the discussions are more interesting to me.

There are only 25% of my subscribed subreddits with equivalents on Lemmy right now, but with time that will grow and I expect I'll drop Reddit entirely. Fuck them anyway.

Only reason I'm still browsing is because I was able to get Sync to still work with that mod, Sync is my version of Reddit and I said I'd stop using Reddit if I couldn't use Sync so I found a way to use Sync still.
