It's for a 2007 gmc sierra if you have a GM specific recommendation. I tried a couple random apps but they don't seem to find the "service airbag" error on my dash.

Bonus points if FOSS but I also have 13 dollars credit on play store.

Maybe, the reviews imply it's a little more capable with the right software.

My advice is still to get one that's known to work. The one I mentioned, BlueDriver, a couple others.

Yeah I can't do airbags with this. BlueDriver looks like a good option. Though I learned that airbag light should go off when I replace the sensor just by driving a few minutes, so looks like I won't be needing this after all.
