I'm wondering if lemmy.ml is the first or the oldest alive instance ~~(it's a server!!!)~~ or if it's just one of the fastest growing instance ahead. 🙌⬆️ the precambrian lemmies!—only maybe know before I step on this world.

Since lemmy.ml is the instance run by the devs I guess it is actually the oldest one (dating back to the 20th of April in 2019).
