As seen very briefly in the movie Weekend at Bernie's II (1993), what is the yellow box like thing this lady is carrying? Camera? Maybe, but what make or model?

I think you're right https://www.hydrorevolution.com/product/hydro-tone-hydro-bells/

Not an exact match though, so maybe a coincidence.

I was thrown off since it's a weird place to be carrying one and typically used in pairs. They probably just grabbed some pool equipment and handed it to a character to add to the vacation feel of the scene.

There's another one behind her. It looks like they may be connected with a thin strap and she's carrying it over her shoulder.

Movies have a tendency to do this. Low budget, reuse of props from other sets, plastic glued to everyday items.

First link I found but it did cover 2 of the instances I knew about. https://www.boredpanda.com/movie-props-everyday-household-items/

This is it! In this scene we are watching people disembark from a shuttle service on a resort on an island. Water resistance exercises were a pretty big fad back then. It all lines up. Thanks!

Glad to help! It actually brought back memories of playing around with some at my grandma's pool when I was a kid.
