The project relies on extensions that are installed separately to pull content from different services (mangadex, mangaplus, etc.). The other day, the tachiyomi devs removed almost all the extensions that they were hosting/maintaining after a threat of legal action from a Korean webtoon company. Here is a relevant discussion thread.
Ah, okay. I thought I was going to pull up the site & see the takedown note or something. I didn’t realize they were able to make some changes & keep it around.
Technically it's now supported by 3rd party maintainers while some selfhostet options are 1st party extensions (tachidesk, kotatsu, etc.).
Not my most favorite solution but better than no external extensions at all.
Yeah it is not dead and from now on it just need new 'adjustment' on GitHub
