The hockey bit is true. The rest is exaggerated, but it's a joke. I'm kind of disappointed, but also kind of relieved, that my country of Canada ranks incredibly low on alcohol consumption (57th) and alcoholism (27th).
By contrast, the US is 42nd in consumption and 5th in alcoholism (probably because they suck at hockey)
Can confirm, we do suck at hockey, but we make up for it in volume. That's probably also our problem with alcohol as well.
Eh, many of the best NHL players are European anyway. NHL teams don't really pull from local players, that's just where they work.
Exactly. We make a bunch of teams, but we've only won the Olympics twice, and the second time we made a movie about it. Canada has won way more.
