If you prefer the form factor of the Switch, go for it. All else being equal, it's definitely better on PC. (Less buggy, mod tools, better graphics, mouse control..)
Even on PC it's buggy AF. Sure, you don't have leviathans popping in 5 feet from your face, but if you build too many things, buildings glitch constantly, dropping you onto the seafloor like You're walking indoors, shit disappearing, flickers, etc.
I love these games, but they definitely don't run like a swiss watch.
