The west is losing this war, but western media managed to convince a lot of ignorant westerners that things are going great. Once this offensive burns itself out, there are no more weapons to give because the west destroyed its industrial base and moved it to places like China. Russia on the other hand still has its industry that it inherited from USSR.

Finally, if Russia actually started losing then China would step in. China realizes that they're next, and Russia acts as a shield for them in the west, and it provides them with the resources they need. China's industrial base absolutely dwarfs anything that the west has.
