Then stop buying from them???
Yeah, sure, just stop buying electricity I guess.
But their two year old son is the lynchpin to the entire economy!
"If you hate slavery so much, just don't buy slaves! Vote with your wallet instead of your voice and actual vote, people! The market will always serve democracy and equality, it's historically proven!"
A sugar boycott was in fact one of the tactics used by the abolition movement.
Yeah and it didn't have an affect on slavery as a market force at all.
The Caribbean slave colonies were still the biggest profit producing colonies that the European powers had because of their cane sugar production.
Little people like us sure can help, but what we really need is government policy to force change. There are always going to be too many people driven by cost rather than the ethics of an issue.
