I'll do ya one better:

Get a free trial to Deezer. Install deemix. Use deemix to rip all of the lossless music you want. Cancel trial. Repeat as needed.

I find myself having to find a new distro of deemix about once per year, but this is the best option.

Check out https://github.com/nathom/streamrip and https://github.com/miraclx/freyr-js. If qobuz is more your thing, make sure to use the dev branch for streamrip so you can use tokens instead of login info.

I'm member of RED so finding flac not a problem. I asked for older SCENE releases that might be filled with requests on these servers.

[–] TornadoValley@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

RED has a thread for scene requests doesn’t it? Otherwise it can be tough if it’s not on Soulseek as you’ll need topsites or dc++ private hub access which is extremely difficult. There are some forums that used to be around and not as hard to find as well as more public sites that you had to pay for (0daymp3 was the name or some crap) but they don’t have as much as the archives in the top places

I know there exist request topic but I'm looking more than 500 releases so asking to one user not a good behaviour. I'm in that forums too but its the same. Only dc++ left as you said its so hard to get in private hubs.

This is the way. You can also find ARLs floating around online to log into your deemix with that'll give you premium features like FLAC quality downloads.

Where is the latest version of Deemix located nowadays?

[–] goblin@defcon.social 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

@Reocken @borat @GlitzyArmrest as far as i know, deemix is not hosted anywhere, as I think they got taken down or the domain expired or something? i have an old version i can throw online if you want it though

@Cannacheques I was wrong! Archive.org to the rescue as always. https://archive.org/details/deemix

Hosted by RemixDev, you can find it here https://archive.org/details/deemix
