If a moderator is not active or banned, you can request to be a mod for that community. Just check community rules before posting.

I decided not to remove the old mod. What do you think about it? I believe I shouldn't do this, but I would still like to hear your opinion. Is it unfair to remove that mod if inactive for a week?

Also; @Solaire@lemmynsfw.com is banned and s/he has so many communities. I can appoint if there are some volunteers.

note: bottomless and lesbians communities are reserved for now.

Can mods be reinstated? If so, I think a week is a good time to remove a mod, if they come back then they can rejoin as mods. If not I'd wait at least a month to remove inactive mods, but still would appoint new mods to keep the community under control.
