I recognize it as an old meme from Funhaus, but it might have started elsewhere.

As I recall, there was some music streaming or cataloging site that had a record of what they called "scrombling" or some crazy shit.

last.fm? each time you play a track it "scrobbles" it. kinda a dumb name but I like it 😁
