I have Plus and can upload images to chatgpt via the browser. I don't have the buttons for upload and voice playback on the Android app. Am I doing something wrong?

There is no update available. I even signed up for the beta program on Playstore.

Where are you from? Maybe it just isn't available here in Germany / Europe?
