Can't confirm. My Pixel Watch takes around 1½ days to completely day while fully in motion

It won't notify you when it's getting close to dying

Can't confirm. My watch notified me when it was aroumd 15% and another (I believe) at 5%.

Maybe you setup your watch wrong like cinema mode?
