They sound really close. I had to look up who Roiland voiced to figure out who had new voices.

They both sound WAY better in the episode than in the promos. Rick still sounds a little off when shouting, but he isn't shouting most of the time, which Harmon wisely pointed out in this interview.

Yeah thought it was gonna be super obvious and intrusive but I didn't even pay attention to their voices after the first minute. Just felt like when my mates get a new mic
