In this post I will list the known issues or possible improvements for Lemmy.world.

Please comment with any issue or area for improvement you see and I will add it here.

Issues can be:

  • Local (lemmy.world) (also performance issues)
  • Lemmy software issues
  • Other software related (apps/Fediverse platforms etc)
  • Remote server related
  • (User error? ...)

Known issues

  • Posting big posts of over 2000 characters fails, the Post button will stay spinning
  • Top posts page gets a stream of new posts ? Websockets issue
  • You're suddenly in another post than you were before > Websockets issue

Enhancement requests

  • Can themes be added? > To be checked if this can be done without changing code.

Yes, I have the same. First time using Lemmy. I register on Lemmy.world but when trying to log in, it just do nothing on mobile, Mozilla, iOS

Here I am writing using Mlem application.

I managed to fix the problem; I kept entering wrong password. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Also, what I find weird–when I go to Lemmy.ml and search for the communities, my community is on the list, but when I opet it, it has one post that was deleted, and doesn't have any new posts. It's like the two Lemmy instances aren't synced at all.

Lemmy is riddled with bugs that are making it hard to use.

Still not working for me. On iOS with Mozilla but works well with Safari.
