Well, you really have to go there and then enter it in the search field of your instance. People keep saying its !community@server but for me that does not work. The actual link did however.
So instead of looking for !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com, I look for https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/piracy and it works.

Afaik rn you have to go to kbin and look for a magazine (that's what they call communities) you want to join, then put it into the address bar in a lemmy instance as if the magazine is a lemmy community.

Like lemmy.world/c/gaming@kbin.social
