I was using connect which has a block instance I option I used but after switching to boost I'm now seeing those instances again and it's a pain to block community by community because there are so many of them and they're very active.

Did I miss the setting for this or is it not a feature of Boost?

That's a good suggestion, I'd love both options really. Your example of furry instances is good for having just posts blocked but there are other instances /communities who troll pretty hard looking for reactions so I've got no desire to see any of their posts or comments.
