I mean, are you miserable? Or are you just using the wrong expectation for being happy? Because overly unrealistic expectations can make any ever-present annoyance, like the day to day dealings of entropy and decay, an inescapable hell.

I think therein lies why we continue to do the "same thing". It's not so clear what would make you less miserable. I know I wish it were that easy for me.

I mean I'd be less miserable about it if my work actually went towards something other than just survival
