At risk of sounding depressing as fuck, after I lost my dad this past spring, I had the most cathartic outletting emotion to that exact sound while hiking at a wildlife reserve with my wife. There's something insanely deep and meaningful to me in those calls, and I love to hear them every spring - even if it only lasts a month or so. I live on the other side of the continent from home, but the blackbirds and robins are this constant that comes every spring and I'm so thankful for them.
