I thought the flash was the last film in the DCEU until James Gunn starts to put movies out. I feel like it’s a lost cause personally but I’m also not a die hard DC fan.
Blue Beetle and Aquaman are the last two.
Wait, am I confused? I thought Blue Beetle was the first movie of the new continuity.
Gunn had no input on it, he does consider BB the first character of the new continuity, but Supes will be the first film.
They were both scheduled to release in 2022, but Aquaman would have competed with Avatar: The Way of Water, and Blue Beetle was originally a direct-to-streaming movie before they decided to put it in theaters.
From what I can see, the real underwater stuff in WoW is way better than the "underwater" shots in Aquaman.
Which is exactly why they didn't release it in 2022 - Avatar was just so much more technologically advanced thay the VFX for Aquaman would pale in comparison.
And also they would be conpeting against the sequel to the highest-grossing film of all time.
