That reminds me of the first time I went to the gym, with a work colleague. He was a semi professional rugby player, later moved to NZ to turn pro. Long story short, he tried training me. I loved it. It was incredibly hard, but it felt like I actually achieved something...

...And as I learned the next day, everything comes at a price. I woke up, went for my usual "out of bed" motion. As soon as I begun executing said motion, my abs sent me a feeling that put in perspective all the pain I experienced so far. I soon realized I was not going to make it to work any soon. Let alone out of bed.

It took me several minutes of turning and tossing to reach my phone and call in sick...

I assume you kept up with it?

I started there, unbelievably sore the days after, to needing to really fuckin send it to even feel sore at all the next day.

To anybody worried about the soreness, keep getting after it! It goes away! (Or at least, you'll never be as sore as those first few weeks)
