Moderation Strictness - 2023-06-16 For now since the Threadiverse is taking off, we will allow, for the time being, more general questions about Lemmy (and KBin) usage, particularly around community/magazine discovery and sharing. Starting next week however we're going to ask you to move such posts to more appropriate forums such as !lemmy_support@lemmy.ml , or !kbinMeta@kbin.social

I'm happy to help mod !wowthislemmyexists@lemmy.ca. I don't have a ton of experience but I do customer support for a living, I founded and mod !fountainpens@sopuli.xyz, and I'm the admin for Wayfarers' Haven which is a very quiet little instance. Happy to help people find cool instances!
Cool - done. As I told @aqua@feddit.de, I've been allowing some more requests or meta or questions this past week in the interest of promoting Reddxiles growth, but over the next week we should encourage discovery only posts. Community requests can be redirected to !lemmy411@lemmy.ca and meta questions, Lemmy/Kbin help can go to.... actually I don't have a strong contender for where to send those yet. The community searches spit back a lot of results related to 'help' and 'ask' but at quick glance there isn't a clear contender for "lemmy/kbin help". Thoughts?
Sounds good, thanks for laying out a direction.
How about !lemmy_support@lemmy.ml?
Duh "support" that's the word I wasn't brain-ing. @aqua@feddit.de <- @ mentions don't always work?
OK. Community/magazine suggest/find requests -> lemmy411 Lemmy/federation usage -> lemmy_support@lemmy.ml
.. for this week a gentle suggestion to move the post with suggestions above and next week we can start removing w/ suggestions in the removal msg.
More coffee is usually the answer.
Thanks for setting out clear expectations. I just locked one that is already thoroughly answered so that it doesn't keep going and will move to nudges for the rest of the week.
awesome.
