I feel like that symbolism to show like ironically the apocalypse is his salvation. They use all dark and less saturated colors when he's living the office life and the zombies are the only way he can find any other colors on the world, it's amazing. Tho I wish they were kinda subtle with the symbolisms they're pretty obvious.
