As you've played Vic II, I'd recommend other Paradox games, Vic 3, CK3 and EU4. They have big differences compared to Vic II, but they have Paradox-style fun like Vic 2 IMHO.
HOI4 is fun too, but that's a very different game, so I skipped it.
Besides, CS:GO just released a big update. Some friends told me that they have totally different experience now, so I suggest to play it again if you had AFKed (well, I don't play CS)
