When I click on the Context link for the notification for this example reply I get https://sh.itjust.works/u/liaizon@social.wake.st which seems to show a timeline for you and has Send Message and Block User buttons. Presumably that is the way to read microblogging messages via Lemmy

I just did. It did have a warning that private messages are not secure so I assume it would show as a DM.

Good to know, maybe it only works for Lemmy->Lemmy DMs or not at all.
