Personally I don’t like the throaty metal screaming, I prefer instrumental metal. When I say that I mostly mean the doom soundtrack
There is so much more to metal than just screaming! I mean, screaming happens but it's not always the focus.
Check out (apologies for yt links) Amaranthe, Blind Guardian, Ayreon, Stratovarius, Graveshadow, gosh there's so many melodic groups with clean vocals.
