He faced torture while imprisoned, then managed to post bail but decided to flee to Hungary for political asylum. He believed the Ukrainian government was setting him up to be arrested again. He went missing after attempting to cross the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. The situation highlighted concerns about free speech and the treatment of dissenters in Ukraine.

It's as much propaganda as any new from the US mainstream propaganda outlets like BBC, CNN, CBS. They aren't trying to inform you they are trying to mislead you into believing whatever they want you to believe. So to find the truth you need to see things from different perspectives and figure it out for yourself.

What do the BBC, CNN, and CBS have to do with the authenticity of your post here on Lemmy?

Funny how you say your post is equivalent to CNN or CBS and then immediately say the intention of those companies is to deceive people, which implies that this is your intention as well. You're saying the quiet part out loud.

I'm not saying it about the post though, that's your interpretation. I'm saying RT is as much a propaganda outlet as BBC, CNN, CBS, etc. So do not believe them outright, do your own due diligence.

But the RT content is your post and you've been defending it with little more than whataboutism about 'western media being propaganda.' What due diligence have you done here? Seems like you only believe it to be true because you want to believe it's true otherwise you would be using facts and reasoning to make an argument rather than linking to TikTok videos about how corrupt CNN is.
