Zero Waste

Being "zero waste" means that we adopt steps towards reducing personal waste and minimizing our environmental impact.
Our community places a major focus on the 5 R's: refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, and rot. We practice this by reducing consumption, choosing reusable goods, recycling, composting, and helping each other improve.
We also recognize excess CO₂, other GHG emissions, and general resource usage as waste.

Alright, you got my curiosity. How are Chinese and farmers markets related? What trend did I miss? I go to the farmer market weekly and live in SW PA and know of no negativity around buying from there.
Ahhh I see. I misinterpreted your comment. I thought farmers market was the slur and wet markets was what people were calling them now. Never heard of that before. But I also ignored at lot of the stupid shit people were saying over covid got rid of Facebook before it happened and really only get my news from a couple specific sources that I trust. I knew people were being extra racist towards Asians but I hadn’t heard any specifics.
Good to learn something new
It's not green and doesn't have leaf. It's purple and has been harvest probably two or three weeks ago max.
Is the skin papery or more like a fresh vegetable?
Some heads start to have paper skin but most have not.
Never froze it. Fridge is good for up to 6 weeks I think
Do you mean it can't be frozen at this stage? If I triple my garlic consumption, I won't finish it by this time. I will usually have a half or a quarter clove for a dish and, at most, one garlicy meal per week.
I'm sure you could, but you can also just hang it and let it dry
