Cara, algumas eu nunca ouvi. Massss, como eu explicaria as que eu entendo: A porta dormiu aberta/a luz dormiu acesa: "Basically it's an expression that creates an analogy with the state of the object with the time you are sleeping. When you say "the door slept open" is that the whole night the door was open, you went to sleep without locking it. Same logic applies to the lightbulb expression, as you forgot to turn it off when you went to sleep.
Você segue reto toda a vida. "It compares the lenght of time of a full life (as something that takes a lot of time) with the lenght of the path you're taking, meaning you have a really long way until your destination or your next sign.
