Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

proceeds to suck microphone off

only reasonable thing to do in this case

[–] auzy@lemmy.world 11 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

For starters, he probably didn't pay them. My friend is an audio engineer and they literally started packing up equipment twice before . It's a miracle he hasn't had them seize the equipment whilst he's on stage

Secondly, there is no incentive for any decent audio engineers to work for him. He threatened to sue them personally last time it dropped out

Finally, he could have his own crew. But I'm guessing he doesn't because nobody would want to work for him, since he has a temper tantrum when anything happens

It's funny how Harris's equipment always works.. That's what happens when you treat people with respect

I'm trying to imagine being one of those backstage people. How do you not feel sudden and intense fear when this guy says that to a huge crowd of morons? Do I already have to be one of those morons in order to agree to do setup for this guy's rally?

And what about whoever's doing setup for the next show? I would probably stop showing up for work...

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 4 points 5 days ago

There was a mic problem at another rally. I suspect that the union folks have been looking at Project 2025 and have figured out where they really stand.

[–] djsoren19@yiffit.net 92 points 6 days ago (2 children)

I see, so the only two options for a faulty mic are; A. Give it a blowjob or B. Inflict violence on the techs.

Certainly the actions of a sane and normal man.

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 9 points 6 days ago (1 children)

What do the secret service do if someone fights back in self defense?

[–] nova_ad_vitum@lemmy.ca 9 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Interesting hypothetical but Trump hasn't thrown a punch (at a man at least) in his whole life and is unlikely to start now . It's all he can do to stay standing.

[–] jaggedrobotpubes@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

It's more an amalgamation of wobbles.

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 5 days ago

Constantly adjusting to the ever increasing load of shit in his britches.

Maybe inflicting violence on the mics and giving blowjobs to the techs would work?

[–] ChronosTriggerWarning@lemmy.world 62 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I'd really REALLY like to see you try, you tiny handed shit machine.

[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 20 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Guy can barely walk or even bring his sippy cup to his weird lips— and that’s using both little hands.

[–] DarkDarkHouse@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Almost fell over trying to open a truck door. You’d win a fight with him by ducking a haymaker.

[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 1 points 5 days ago

That awkward rebalancing back leg kick out when he missed the door handle 🤣 Woah Pops!

[–] Minarble@aussie.zone 51 points 6 days ago (2 children)

“I get so angry. I’m up here seething. I’m seething. I’m working my ass off with this stupid mic. I’m blowing out my left arm, now I’m going to blow out my right arm, and I’m blowing out my damn throat too, because these stupid people.”

Old angry fat man is to old and weak to hold onto a microphone. Sad!

[–] fine_sandy_bottom@lemmy.federate.cc 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Wow he really said that.

Guy is falling apart and people are gonna elect him anyway.

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

This is that strength and intelligence looks like. This is success.

  • somehow a non-trivial amount of Americans

This dude sure does like blowing things

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 36 points 6 days ago

yes, i'd love to witness you committing multiple state felonies (the verbal threat itself may also have been one in wisconsin).

[–] Minarble@aussie.zone 29 points 5 days ago

I’m not sure how but they missed the bit where he gave the microphone a hand job then followed up with a quick head job.

You know… normal campaign stuff just before the election…

[–] return2ozma@lemmy.world 22 points 6 days ago

A clip from him fuming. Trying to steal Nancy Reagan's Throat GOAT title...

[–] Bosht@lemmy.world 17 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Hahahaha oh man I'd love to see that geriatric even TRY to hit someone, holy shit. Dude would go down so fast.

[–] jaggedrobotpubes@lemmy.world 13 points 5 days ago

QWOP punching ass motherfucker.

[–] ATDA@lemmy.world 15 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Did he piss off the audio engineer Union or does he just hire morons?

Both?

[–] vxx@lemmy.world 9 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

He demanded the mics to be so loud that he got feedback from the speakers. Then he got feedback from the speakers.

[–] Clent@lemmy.world 12 points 6 days ago (1 children)

The only way he could knock someone out is by sitting his fat stinky ass on their chest for a couple minutes.

[–] fubo@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

Merely being in the same room as his stinky ass might very well suffice.

[–] capt_wolf@lemmy.world 12 points 6 days ago

Yes, please, add assault to his list of crimes! Preferably on camera, in front of plenty of witnesses, and unprovoked so he has zero chance of talking his way out of it!

[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 10 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

LOL that butterball can barely knock the hell out of fries and a diet Coke.

[–] booly@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)
[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Yeah I would if I weren't sick of looking at the motherfucker. Can't wait til he spends the rest of his pathetic-ass life in court.

[–] bstix@feddit.dk 10 points 5 days ago (1 children)

This isn't the first time he claims to have technical issues. Why doesn't he just bring his own shit?

This constant whining over stuff and stiffing contractors really isn't a great flex for someone who wants to be in charge of anything.

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Bringing that Karen energy to the white house.

[–] NounsAndWords@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago

"knock the hell out of people" presumably means loudly complaining and insulting people until they do what he wants.

[–] Guthix@midwest.social 2 points 4 days ago

Surely there's a gif of Don Zimmer rushing Pedro Martinez that can have a couple faces swapped here, that's got potential
