So I've been going down this wild rabbit hole researching historical UFO/UAP cases, and I stumbled on some interesting, lesser-known historical cases. I just thought I'd share them with you.

Most of you probably know of the Nuremberg incident. But it turns out it wasn't just a one-off thing.

Similar events happened in Basel, Switzerland (1566) and Pferch, Germany (1554). The witnesses descriptions match up in some striking ways:

  • Multiple observers reporting geometric shapes (spheres, disks, crosses)
  • Objects doing complex aerial maneuvers
  • Color-changing phenomena
  • Objects apparently "fighting" each other in the sky

This is an illustration of the event in Basel:

The really interesting part is WHO was doing the reporting. Not just random people but they were mostly educated people including artists and scholars. There are even contemporary illustrations of some of these events.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Does anyone have some further reading on this?

And do you believe the skeptics who say that these things are just typical religious motifs of the time? The skeptics say that this theme of "heavenly battles" was common place at the time. I don't know why you would see these shapes and figures go to battle.
