You're either rich or not an American.

America is a sad place, yes, we know.
Hope you're feeling better OP.
It was a PITA to fall asleep last night but I do feel better today thanks. It only hurts when I move now.
It's about a $25-35 copay with low tier insurance at an urgent care to be seen by a nurse practitioner. The US Healthcare system is deeply flawed, but when people spread deeply exaggerated claims like this, it can cause folks to delay care until it becomes life-threatening or actually financially ruinous.
That's $25-35 I'd gladly keep in my pocket while I wrap my arm up myself.
Also, co-pay with insurance??
I'm sorry, but as a Canadian I'm just going take a moment and appreciate what I have.
Urgent care is a 60+ minute drive for me. The local ER is a minimum of a $75 copay. Last time I was in (sliced off two finger tips and could not stop the bleeding) I waited ~3 hours to be seen. No one ever came, so I went home. They tried to charge me for the visit.
$25-35 is me eating or not on the day before my paycheck.
While I empathize and have been there myself, making that work doesn't make a person "rich."
