I got my hands on some really weird EL panels and did a little dive into how they work. I still have no idea where to get more but I think they may be DIY-able.

Super cool. I make stuff for burning man and parties as side projects and this would be cool to do

Yeah, this seems like burning man gold. I think Lumilor paint and careful stenciling could replicate this but it's >$400 an oz.
