Although the cause of investigation has not been published, last week the Guardian reported Mr Gove did not register VIP hospitality he enjoyed at a football match with a Tory donor whose firm he had recommended for personal protective equipment (PPE) contracts worth millions of pounds during the COVID-19 pandemic.
