I'm definitely in support of "mega-threading" anything related to the Reddit blackout unless it's big breaking news (but mega-thread those events too).

I've also started to look for communities for some of my interests, but I suspect it's going to take a while before a lot of them spread to here. There are also a bunch that I can't really start since I am primarily a consumer and not a producer (specialized topics like astrophysics that I am not a subject matter expert for).

I'm doing my best to post in small communities of interest to me. Growth will take time though.

Yeah I agree, Lemmy needs to be it’s own thing and not just a Reddit hate platform. But so far the experience has been great.

Im having the opposite problem - when I sort by top of day I get a really fast scroll I cant keep up with.

i actually find the whole thing fascinating, which is why i post about it. if it wasnt reddit, i probably would have posted on reddit about it.

meh, I don't mind it. Add the content you want to add. Scroll on past the content you don't want to read. It's not a big deal.
