From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Hello there. I hope my post is not misplaced. I am running experiments using waydroid and weston and I need help configuring my display.

I need to be able to run scripts that I wrote initially for my android phone so I can't touch waydroid prop options, as size is determined by my phone.

What I need is to be able to scale the displayed output so it appears at reasonable scale on my computer monitor. Now, my problem is that my android phone has a higher vertical number of pixels than my monitor so the image won't fit. I understand that there should be a way to use fractional scaling to reduce the size of the windows inside a weston session, but I am unable to find how exactly I could achieve this.

Any weston expert out there that can help? If necessary, I am open to trying out other window managers, as well.
