I've been getting accustomed to lemmy quite well I gotta say but when I'm trying to read through any of the feeds, my position on the page is constantly getting displaced and this makes it completely impossible to actually read any of the posts.

Any way to mitigate this?

It's the same on the mobile site. I'm sure it worked well before the reddit exodus and lemmy was less popular, but it's pretty annoying now. Hope we will be able to disable it soon.

I am also experiencing this. I’ll try opening an issue on the web UI GitHub repo if there isn’t one already soon.

I'd be interested to know as well. I wouldn't mind like the top 5 posts being a rolling queue of new things but the rest of the list and scrolling through it should remain static for the view it's on.

So far this is my only complaint with Lemmy. I have all my subs and stuff pretty much the way I want them and I've been finding enough content to keep me entertained just fine. But this little feature is driving me nuts.

No, this is a known issue which is fixed in the next Lemmy UI update.

That's awesome to hear. Thanks!

From what I've heard this is (at least somewhat) fixed in the upcoming 0.18 release, which should be coming in the next several days

This is all hearsay though so don't quote me
