Just out of curiosity, can you make a screenshot of your inbox? I'm still running 0.0.32, so I don't know how the new design looks like.
Jerboa
Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.
Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

Now that you mention it - I didn't even notice this! But you could still click on the title of the past and look for the reply manually. Weird that the direct response was removed from the inbox.
@SanguinePar@lemmy.world figured it out, long press in the username/vote count bar to reveal the interactions.
THANK YOU.
That was so frustrating for a bit there.
No worries, I feel like this feature should be optional.
Beat me to it!
I'll go make a bug report.
Can you share with the rest of us here ? If other people have the same issue, then people can find it and not create duplicate bug reports.
I've edited the post to embed the bug report
Perfect! Thank you 😊
No sweat!
I'm enjoying being part of the process.
Same! Even tho I am not even affiliated with the project.
🥳🥳🥳🥳
And touching the text (or title) of a comment doesn't reveal the bar below the comment ?
I just went over the changelog in the release, it doesn't mention that change anywhere. Except expanding the tappable area for a comment. See https://github.com/dessalines/jerboa/pull/436. Maybe it's a bug ? You can always fill a bug report at the Github page.
Changelog: https://github.com/dessalines/jerboa/releases/tag/0.0.33
Long pressing the top bar where username and vote count is located reveals the interactions. I've closed the issue.
Thanks! I just updated to the latest version as well and my god, that's finicky to get right.
Also seems like the votes aren't working, could be a server load issue though.
Yeah most likely. All the servers are currently smoking.
Surprised I am not. Reddit Hug of Death strikes again, hopefully it's a final gasping breath.
Reddit's hug of death before we let it die...
It's almost poetic.
Almost brings a tear to my eye.
😂
No, the only tappy interaction is the collapse comment function
I've already filled out a bug report

Solution found - long hold on the username (or anywhere horizontal to that) and the interaction bar reappears :-)
Ah, great. Thanks for mentioning the solution! :D
No problem 👍
That's what I've been doing. On a small post like this one, it's not a big deal, but trying to find my comment in a 300+ comment thread makes me not want to reply or upvote....
Just wondering the same - oddly enough when I was looking at my inbox just now, I managed to get the up/down/reply options to appear on one of my replies, but I'm not sure how I did it, and I couldn't reproduce. I thought maybe I had long-held on the reply, but it didn't work when I tried again. Hopefully just a bug.
YOU'RE A GODDAMN GENIUS!
Long hold on the name, not the text body.
Woop! Glad it's working for you too. Would be good to have the option to have it always visible, but this works for now :-)
Absolutely. Or at least have it documented in the change log.
Well this is really bad user interface design. Really a wtf moment for me at least.
I'm personally not a fan, it does make things cleaner looking but it did my head in before it was figured out.
