The only community I really miss is r/todayilearned. Just some quick, interesting facts. Having an alternative here would be fantastic.

Relaxed section for discussion and debate that doesn't fit anywhere else. Whether it's advice, how your week is going, a link that's at the back of your mind, or something like that, it can likely go here.
Subcommunities on Beehaw:

There are a few TIL communities! They’re off to a good start, too.
I agree, a lot of the PC building communities would be nice to have here
Mystery, true crime, or r/RBI type content would be all it takes to solidify my place here. Many of those communities across the web lean into their toxicity, so I’m crossing my fingers for a sane place to engage in discussion and participate in deep dives.
Even more specifically, subs like r/whatisthisthing or r/toyid are fun for people who enjoy some light sleuthing. Anyone know if there’s a Lemmy equivalent or adjacent to any of these?
FFXIV, stuff like /r/StoriesAboutKevin and /r/TalesFromTechSupport, and /r/xena

Eldritch horror Garfield is essential to any online community.
You're joking but currently a discord I'm in has a cult over a specific Garfield Minus Garfield comic, a cult that got genuinely rowdy when the comic stopped being posted.
All I'm saying, Garfield is probably an elder god
I'm probably only half joking. I love when people just do weird shit for the hell of it, it reminds me of the early internet. People doodling horrific Garfield content is weirdly wholesome and just makes me happy.
Travel-focused communities would be lovely, akin to r/travel and r/solotravel among others.
Marx-Lenin
r/momforaminute was lovely but might verge a bit too much into mental health support unless guard rails are made for such a community.
r/analog, and more generally r/photography
r/Aquariums, r/PlantedTanks, r/Aquascape !
/r/ExMormon
It’s been created on lemmy.world
I am a Dark Souls addict and when I quit Reddit for good on July 1st, those are the subs I'll really miss most. I'm also a history teacher and adjunct and really will suffer without /r/AskHistorians.
Hmmm ...
Archery Motorcycles Old Photos in Real Life Spanish as a Second Language
I'm missing a lot of more specialised things, but these are pretty broad I think
Meme/circlejerk/shitposting. Things like r/noncrediblediplomacy, r/linguisitcshumor, r/mapporncirclejerk, r/okbuddyholy (and Weezer in generak).
I love a good shitpost, but it probably wouldn't mesh with the Beehaw ethos.
NBA iphone photography, ask photograpy, beginner photography politics
Ooo this is a good question. There was a similar thread about Lemmy as a whole, but Beehaw has a bit different standards...
Honestly, maybe a retro technology community? Set to include both retro gaming and other aspects like retro computing and the like. I'm sure one could use the current tech community for this, but I think setting aside a retro version could be beneficial
