That really shows how little shipbuiling capacity Russia still has. Most of Russias fleet is not in the Black Sea and as Turkey is blocking Russian military ships from entering, they are neither super intressting nor easy targets for Ukraine.

Couldn't Russia still move some of its fleet through the deep water system?

Little shipbuilding capacity is no surprise, when taking into account that Ukraine was part of USSR's capacity, and now Russia is attacking... well, that. Like, all those shipyards are not likely to get any materials from Azovstal for a while.

Some corvetts maybe, but anything has to sail down the Don, which has multiple locks within reach of Storm Shadow and similar systems.
