As a former christian I can confirm that the vast majority of christians in the multiple communities I grew up in have not read, reflected nor understood the teachings.
I read the bible in full, reflected on it, appreciated the views of morality and accepted that it was a work of fiction based on the actions of few people whose lives were greatly exaggerated for the purposes of controlling the people who refuse to read and reflect on the materials at hand.
At this point, it's like telling a hard core junkie that heroin will eventually kill them. For the MAGoos, death is preferable to admitting that Donnie is an idiot and a traitor.
It's really sad how evangelicals have let themselves be trapped and manipulated by Trump and the Republican Party.
