Why would Israelis care about Christ?

The, you know, Messiah they said would come....or the descendent from the royal line of David...why would they care about such a person that THEIR HOLY BOOK said it was coming?
I'm not religious, but I do believe that IF Jesus Christ second coming is true....he will be hated and crucified...again...
Even the church says it is genocide. Lets hope NATO doesn't invade Vatikan to establish the correct democracy there for saying wrong things, like Haitian president Aiside when he demanded reparations from France.
We all know that NATO won't invade the Vatican because their resources are tied up in Russia, in supporting US interests in Taiwan, in blocking Ansarallah in the Red Sea, in supporting Guyana in South America...

I was born and raised catholic. Almost fully stopped believing when my church was hit by lightning and burned down in front of me as a kid. Francis gives me slight hope that religion can be good; the rest of the clergy brings that hope down again though haha
